I'm Tom. I work across AI and longevity biotech. Building companies, investing in them and in markets.
Company-building
Currently building a startup in AI x Longevity. Founded MetaVoice (AI speech), Suzu (AI commerce) and an AI finance startup. In a prior life, helped build/scale two early-stage hedge funds.
AI & engineering
Early to AI/ML. Studied Physics at Oxford and used ML in my master's thesis, applied ML at hedge-funds from 2014, trained and shipped deep learning systems in pose estimation, text-to-code and RL. Founded MetaVoice in 2022, where we built foundational speech models and scaled product around them. I still build constantly with the latest AI tools, advise and read papers around my latest deep tech rabbit hole.
Investing & finance
Ran portfolios at leading hedge funds. That grounded me in markets, capital allocation and decision-making under uncertainty. Now I invest across deep tech (AI, techbio, space and infra) through direct checks, occasional SPVs and close work with a small number of founders.
Longevity biotech
Aging is a huge, tractable, high-leverage problem. I'm very active in longevity biotech, in particular exploring how to directly use AI to accelerate reaching longevity escape velocity.
