I'm Tom. I build, back & explore frontier technologies. I'm working on investments and incubations in AI and longevity biotech.
Entrepreneurship
Founded two companies: Metavoice (frontier speech models) and Suzu. Helped build out two early-stage Hedge Funds and an asset-management platform.
Investing
Invest across AI, biotech and infrastructure - a mix of direct checks and SPVs (some run by me) in 20+ startups. Work closely with a handful of founders. Spent nearly a decade in Hedge Funds as a portfolio manager, trader, risk manager, quant. CFA charterholder.
AI & engineering
Early to AI/ML - studied Physics at Oxford, applied ML in my master's thesis, applied ML in finance from 2014, trained and shipped SOTA deep learning models (pose-estimation, text-to-code, RL) at startups in 2016-2018. Founded a gen-AI company in 2022. Advised startups and corporates on AI product, AI engineering, go-to-market.
Longevity
Aging is a tractable, high-leverage and critical problem to work on. Active in the longevity biotech ecosystem. Learning a lot, backing translational aging biology. Working at the AI x Bio intersection, on both aspirational and practical healthspan solutions.
